Born in Makkah into a prominent Najdi family from Oneiza in 1924, the late Ahmed Abdullah Al-Juffali developed at a very young age, a passion for ‘entrepreneurship’ that complemented his intuitive sense of philanthropy.

Ahmed (God rest his soul) was a giver from a very young age… even before the wealth, ‘giving’ was in him.” asserts his lifetime partner Suad Al-Husseini Al-Juffali.

As early as the 1940’s, the late Ahmed Al-Juffali founded the Juffali Group that played a major role in the development of many sectors in Saudi Arabia, i.e. in infrastructure with the conception of the first power utility plant in the Kingdom; additionally in telecommunications; transportation; information technology; air-conditioning; as well as many other manufacturing, engineering, construction and distribution services.

Following more than a decade of scattered philanthropy in his personal capacity, the late Ahmed Juffali founded in 1985 The Ahmed Al-Juffali Foundation (AJ Foundation) as a platform for himself and his family – to offer assistance to segments in need in the Saudi society and worldwide, as well as to support the financing and operation of The Help Center.

The Late Ahmed Al-Juffali passed away in 1994. However his legacy lives on through his spouse Suad Al-Husseini Al-Juffali, his daughter Maha and his three sons Waleed, Khaled & Tarek Ahmed Al-Juffali.

Over 22 years down the road, the AJ Foundation continues to finance the Help Center, which has provided support to more than 5,000 families over the years, and has evolved into its current status. Concurrently, the Juffali Group today continues to grow and contribute to the advancement of Saudi Arabia and to the wellbeing of humanity worldwide.
